Version 0.05.00 - Still Developing!

As the COVID Pandemic continues, most of us have been left with lots of free time on our hands. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people, as my time has become very thin in the past few months. Luckily, I am still pushing along toward the completion of Chapters 1-4 of Trailblazer, and have been making updates to the game and system as I go. Being that it's been a while, I figured I'd share some of these updates for those who haven't played yet, or who want to play again.

Something I've been thinking about lately is a gaming theory that's been floating around for a while. Basically, it says that 3 types of players based on why we play games, what we want to get out of them, and we're all some combination of all 3:
1) Body - who brute forces their way through by boosting attack power and/or by grinding and over-leveling
2) Mind - who thinks their way through, looking for ways to powergame through OP or broken combinations
3) Heart - who plays based on their feelings and instincts

Personally, I tend to fall pretty heavy into Mind and Heart, and often forget to address how Body type players will approach my game. As a result, I've done some updating to my Skill Trees - specifically starting ones you may choose, in order to appeal to these three types of players, and using language in the descriptions that try to steer each of the player types toward the Skill Set they'll most likely find the most fun .

So go ahead and give the game a shot if you haven't yet, and if you have, see if the new Skillsets reach out to you, and fit better to your playstyle!
